About
Welcome to Taska la Reina Cabanyal, a gem nestled in the Poblats Marítims district of Valencia. Located on C/ de la Reina, this vibrant eatery offers a culinary experience that perfectly captures the essence of Mediterranean flavors. With a focus on freshness and creativity, Taska la Reina Cabanyal is a haven for food lovers seeking an array of exciting dishes.
As you step inside, you are greeted by an inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The menu showcases a variety of offerings that reflect local influences, with each dish crafted with a passion for detail.
One standout item that has garnered attention is the ham croquettes, praised for their light texture and rich flavor. The satisfying crunch and creamy filling certainly start the meal off on a high note. Yet not every dish receives universal acclaim; for example, while the mussels had a promising presentation, some diners found them lacking in quality. The ambitious tuna brioche is another intriguing offering, although a minor oversight occurred with presentation in a recent review, reminding us that even the best can sometimes falter.
However, it's the bold flavors and inventive pairings that truly define Taska la Reina Cabanyal. The aubergine and cod dish has captured the attention of many, providing a delightful twist that encourages culinary exploration. Tacos accompanied by a creamy, tangy sauce stand out as a must-try, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to flavor and creativity.
While the black rice paella didn’t hit the mark for some, the grilled squid and bravas have been nice culinary surprises. And for those with a sweet tooth, the horchata dessert has received glowing reviews, marking a perfect way to conclude your meal.
If you find yourself in Valencia, Taska la Reina Cabanyal is worth a visit. Its focus on fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors, complemented by a relaxed atmosphere, makes it an ideal spot for both casual lunches and special occasions. Embrace the spirit of Valencia and indulge in the culinary creativity that this charming restaurant has to offer.
“ Everything is full of flavour and consideration from the kitchen! The aubergine and cod dish was super interesting and the tacos comes with this creamy tangy yet very slightly spicy sauce that has inspired me to try to make it at home! ”
“ We’ve been here three times now and each time we are so warmly greeted, especially Alejandro! The staff is very sweet and welcoming. Be sure to order the rice dishes in advance. We have yet to try one! Food is unique and you can try several Basque dishes. Their desserts are addicting! ”
“ Overall it is a good restaurant The grilled squid is really tasty and the bravas too But the black rice paella was really not good, it was way too salty and barely any fish with 2 shrimp per person on it, definitely a let down. The horchata dessert though was a 10/10 ”
“ Ham croquettes started the show - very good and freshly made. Light and rich in taste. Next up mussels. A little disappointing, on average very small and not the best quality I’d had, you can tell by the colour of them. Sauce was also underwhelming. Very few big ones. Tuna brioche was tasty, although there was a small black hair on the plate. Wine was great, atmosphere quiet as early lunch. Still worth trying but I was expecting great things after the reviews. ”
“ If you’re looking for authentic Spanish food, this is the place to go! Everything tastes so fresh and full of flavor, and you can really feel the traditional touch in every dish. The food is absolutely delicious! The highlight for me was the ill salad!! See picture! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to enjoy real Spanish cuisine. ”
“ Super atmosphere with a very friendly staff. Very patient and attentive. The food is another story, a hidden gem in the heart of Valencia seaside where every dish has a story to tell. The fried cod should be a Michelin star plate. Food taste is so good!!! ”
“ Delicious food! We came here twice during our stay. Their ceviche is phenomenal. Highly recommend this restaurant. Very clean and the atmosphere is excellent. We had a very pleasant experience. ”
“ Absolutely fabulous! Extremely fresh and exciting food that leaves you satisfied. Do not miss out on this place if you are visiting Valencia. Pictured below are the tuna tartare, ceivech, tomato salad and the confit artichokes. I recommend them all, especially ceivech. ”
